About Me
As a second-year Political Science and Journalism major at Northeastern University, I report on a range of issues such as campus policy, public safety and immigration.
I am currently a staff writer for Northeastern's independent student publication,The Huntington News, where I am involved with the Campus section as a reporter and faculty senate beat writer. I have also done video reporting and Adobe Premiere Pro video editing for the Audiovisual section.
Other experience includes a paid internship at local newspaperThe Recorder, and aviation market research at Ishka Aviation.
I spent my first semester of college studying abroad at University College Dublin, returning to the city where I grew up. Studying in both Ireland and the United States has sharpened my interest in transnational identities and the movement of people across borders. My perspective is also shaped by my family: my mother is from Honduras, and immigration policy has shaped the people I love and the communities I belong to.
My goal is to pursue international reporting that bridges policy and people — explaining not just what is happening, but why it matters.
